Ephesians 5:7-8

Ephesians 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.

Verse 7 on the side in my bible says have nothing to do with them. In other words separate. I probably should have included this one with verse 6. If you scroll back a message you will see that it talked about vain words deceiving you and disobedience bringing on the wrath of God. Sounds like a good reason to separate to me.

:8 See the past tense? ye were, not you are. The second part of that verse is present tense. Ye are light in the Lord. Then it tells us to walk as children of light. That is pretty simple to understand. The Lord saved you, assuming you asked for salvation, now you are required and should desire to walk in His glorious light. What path will you choose today? Don't be fooled it is a moment by moment decision.

There is a hymn that says "I want to walk as a child of the Light. I want to follow Jesus." It must've been based off of this verse. I love it! I agree; it is most definately a moment by moment decision. We can do it though! Thank you for always bringing a smile to my face through your comments on my blog and the wonderful message on your blog. I missed you!! xoxo
