Ps 10:1 Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide in times of trouble?
:2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
:3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; he blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.
:4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.
:5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; as far all his enemies, he sneers at them.
:6 He has said in his heart, “ I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.”
:7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity.
:8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent; his eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless.
:9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; he lies in wait to catch the poor; he catches the poor when he draws him into his net.
:10 So he crouches, he lies low, that the helpless may fall by his strength.
:11 He has said in his heart, “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.”
:12 Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble.
:13 Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “ You will not require an account.”
:14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief. To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.
:15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; seek out his wickedness until You find none.
:16 The Lord is King forever and ever; the nations have perished out of His land.
:`17 Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear,
:18 to do justice to the fatherliess and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may oppress no more.

When bad things happen, people often ask why does God let them happen.

I have to remind myself on those days that:
1.       God sees the wickedness (verse 14)
2.       God listens to the cry of the afflicted (verse 17)
3.       God reigns for ever and ever  (verse 16)

Cruel people may think God doesn’t notice or doesn’t care, but eventually they will answer to Him. Eternity is a very long time.

Judges 11:1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, but he was the son of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah.
:2 Gilead’s wife bore sons; and when his wife’s sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out, and said to him, “You shall have no inheritance in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.”

God chose Jephthah to be judge even though he was born of a harlot. It’s what you become that matters not how you start out when God calls you.

Pr 11:25 The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.

True generosity is not determined by the size of a gift. Your gift is not meant to be compared to the gift of another. They are between you and God.

Jn 16:26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you,
:27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.

Praying in the Name of Jesus is not like using a magic word. It means we should be praying in the will of Him.

Jer 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Eph 1:18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Ps 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

Rev 21:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lam is its light.

Only the eyes of your heart can see spiritual realities. God wants us to have a teachable attitude.

Mt 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, “God with us.”

Find God in every situation.

Rom 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Neh 8:10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Jn 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

The Lord wants to fill us with His joy and peace. His joy is my strength.

Ps 31:7 I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, for You have considered my trouble; you have know my soul in adversities,

Even when your cries are faint, God is so merciful He hears.
