Just as a newborn baby in the natural
needs to be taken care of until it grows/ matures enough to be able
to grow on their own, so does a baby christian until they are full
grown.
God provides for His children just as
parents take care (well are supposed to) of their children.
Eph 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of
the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you
were called,
Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be
apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and
teachers.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable
service.
:2 And do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may
prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
:3 For I say, through the grace given
to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more
highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt
to each one a measure of faith.
:4 For as we have many members in one
body, but all the members do not have the same function,
:5 so we, being many, are one body in
Christ, and individually members of one another.
:6 Having then gifts differing
according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if
prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
:7 or ministry, let us use it in our
ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
:8 he who exhots, in exhortation; he
who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who
shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor
what is evil. Cling to what is good.
1 Cor 12:1 Now concerning spiritual
gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant.
1 Cor 12:8 for to one is given the word
of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge
through the same Spirit.
:9 to another faith by the same Spirit,
to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
:10 to another the working of miracles,
to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another
different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
:11 But one and the same Spirit works
all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
1 Cor 12:28 And God has appointed these
in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after
that miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, administrations,
varieties of tongues.
1 Tim 4:14 Do not neglect the gift that
is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of
the hands of the eldership.
2 Tim 1:6 Therefore I remind you to
stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my
hands.
