Pr 15, Ps 3, 1 Sam 3

Here are my notes from my reading today.

Pr 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger.

:3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Think you have hidden sin? Think again, God sees it and will expose it in His time.

Ps 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter of mine head.

AMEN!!

1 Sam 3:1 And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the Word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.

Oh that the Word of the Lord were precious to more people today.

Verses 4-8 tell how the Lord called Samuel's name 3 times.

Verse 7 says that Samuel didn't know the Lord yet, so he kept going to Eli.

I understand why Samuel didn't realize it was the Lord, but why didn't Eli. He was a priest of the Lord!

The Lord tells Samuel He is bringing judgment against Eli because of the evil he allowed his sons to do.

God will always judge sin. You may think you are gonna get away with the sin, but eventually God will judge the sin.
