:5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
Lord I put my trust in You.

:5 Hold up my goings in Thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of Thy wings.

:1-7 Introduces us to the battle and Goliath.
:8-10 Goliath taunts the army of Israel.
:11-16 For forty days he taunts them. We are also told about David leaving Saul and going tend the sheep during this time.
:17 Jesse sends David to bring food to his brothers who are in Saul's army.
:18-23 Once David gets there, Goliath comes out to taunt them again.
:24 The army fled when they saw him again.
:25-28 David's oldest brother became angry that David would speak out that no one would face Goliath.
:29-31 Saul is told David's words about going out himself to fight Goliath.
:32- David sayes he will go.
:33- Saul wants David is to young and that Goliath has been fighting a long time.
:34-37 David explains God has delivered him from a bear and a lion and will deliver him from the Philistine.
:38-39 Saul agrees and wants David to wear Saul's armour. It is all to big and heavy.
:40- He takes his staff and 5 stones along with his sling.
:41-44 Goliath taunts David.
:45-46 David tells Goliath he comes in the Name of the Lord and that God will deliver Goliath to him.
:47- He tells Goliath the battle is the Lord's.
:48-49 David takes down Goliath with one stone.
:50-51 David didn't have a sword so he used Goliath's to cut off his head. When the Philistines see this they ran.
:52-54 Israel pursues the Philistines.
:55-58 Saul wants to know who David's father is. David tells him Jesse.
